Walked in and the writing on the walls, tables, every where was a slight shock. But the pizza is great so don't let the place scare you off if you weren't prepared. The cheese bread is awesome so make sure to grab an order of that as well!

Rated This is our go-to restaurant for real Pizza whenever the Sirens call us for Hot, Cheezy, handmade goodness. First- Real Dough-Bread is a living thing and 90%!of the corporate Pizzerias out there use a freezer to oven, mass produced crust. This along with Frozen cheese, cheap toppings and untrained help equal mediocre results. This is not even comparable to corporate franchise Pizza. Tomacelli's offers dozens of toppings, lots of choices and responsive service.

Pizza was fabulous and staff was very customer focused. If you can get over the "hole in the wall" decor, it is a great place!

GREAT pizza. Good service. Atmosphere leaves something to be desired which us the only reason for not giving five stars. The pizza really was awesome. I will be back. Might get it to go next time.

Tomacelli's is yummy. It's not the best pizza I've ever had, but it's some of the better local pizza in Sioux Falls. I've only ever eaten in at this location. Haven't gotten delivery or carryout or eaten at the other location. The building has a worn-in charm; it looks like it's been lived in for a while. The seating is especially comfortable as well. There is one TV in the small dining room, usually tuned to either sports or news. I would recommend against anything with chicken on it, as they use a pre-fab chicken that has a strong seasoning on it and tastes very salty. Every other topping I've encountered there is of good quality and tasty. Their sauce and the cheese blend are both delicious. The crust is on the thin side and chewy, but it's not tough. Overall, it's worth giving Tomacelli's a shot.

Good food. Normally good service until the last time i ordered. I called in and talked with the the person answering the phone. He started taking my order and was snotty while doing it. I didn't say anything about that to him just wanting to get my order in. I then asked to pay for it with a credit card instead of cash( as i always do). I actually heard him say " here handing the phone to someone else and walked away". That person then says hello? Did you want to place an order? I said no i just ordered and wanted to pay with a credit card. That guy also gave me a attitude as though how dare you try to pay for your food. I then told him " You know, this is ridicules lets just cancel the order and call it a night". No apology for the attitude or any thing he just say okay what ever! then hung up. I have never been treated so poorly by them in the 10 years i have been ordering from them. i never once was mean to any of them. Sadly i have always given them tips of $6 to $9 every time they delivered to me no matter how what do to the good customer service they gave me. After this last time i will no longer spend my money there and give my hard earned money to another pizza/pasta place. I know they wont care about one little customer like me but i felt it needed to be said. This was over 2 weeks ago and it still bothers me.

Not too sure about cleanliness, but the specialty pizza options are great. My husband loves it.

We got a Spartichoke and Big Nick today, The Spartichoke was very undercooked and didn't taste right, however the Big Nick was awesome cooked perfectly and plenty of toppings. Pizza is still expensive for the size, next time I want to spend 40 dollars on 2 pizzas I'll go to Red Rosso or Godfathers.

Food was great, delivery was quicker than time that was quoted. We had been on the road for several hours and had pizza and salad delivered to hotel, we were pleasantly surprised, food was better than we anticipated. Salad was awesome! It was huge with tons of toppings. Would definitely recommend to others.

I bought a groupon so we took the whole fam out to eat. The hubs ordered the "Supreme" pizza..I forgot the name exactly. I got the Buffalo Chicken pizza. The pizza was just ok to me. I probably won't go back. The crust is lacking and the buffalo pizza was bland. Papa John's is better in my opinion. I'm excited to try Boss's. I heard it's great. The service was good though and I liked the old Pizza joint style.

Whoa, whoa, WHOA! Tomacelli's deserves all five stars and then some! Order the Taco Supreme. Or Bacon Cheeseburger. Get the cheesy bread. Tomacelli's makes unique pizza that you can't approach with preconceived notions. It is SUPER delicious and special.

I need to start off by saying that this review is in regards to Tomacelli's pizza only, as I have never had anything else on their menu or even eaten at the restaurant. It's only been carryout pizza so far. I also must let you know that I love pizza more than most things that exist in the world, so it may take a bit more for a really good rating from me in this category. My heart belongs to deep-dish, so Tomacelli's was never going to be my favorite. The crust is still good, though, as are the sauce and toppings. It isn't greasy pizza at all, which can actually be a welcome change. You probably won't end up feeling nasty, even if you eat a little bit too much. For someone with the right taste in pizza, I can definitely see this being a favorite as the quality is pretty high. Service has been pretty good as wait times (for carryout, at least) have been reasonable and the food has always been ready when they said it would be. Overall, I recommend Tomacelli's, as it offers pretty good, cheap pizza. They definitely offer the best deals on pizza in SF that we have found so far, as long as you are on the lookout for coupons (which are not difficult to find). Plus they have a solid selection of toppings. They even have feta, in my opinion an absolute must for great pizza.
